Don't know what it is but the place was dead. Service was good, menu variety was good, price bit on high side. parking was free up to two hours but still it was dead. Whoever came up with the paid parking ideas but i don't like to come to cherry creek mall area at all. Free validated parking or not This review is for a special event - our wedding reception. I would give this restaurant six stars for our wedding reception if I could.
Samantha and Thomas and the rest of the staff did an amazing job at executing our wedding reception. When we first started looking for a restaurant, I was skeptical of Brio because it's basically in the mall and is a chain restaurant, but it turned out SO WELL. We looked at some other restaurants in Cherry Creek and they were just not interested in our business at all. The staff at Brio was totally dedicated to answering emails and phone calls and making our event the best.
They have a private room, which is really nice, and it holds about 36 people maximum (perfect for our 30-person wedding!). The menu is extensive and delicious! Every dish was great. The restaurant was really accommodating for guests with special dietary needs. They didn't count children (we only had two) in calculating the total cost, which I thought was really nice, and we only paid for the alcohol we drank.
They set our our menus and place cards for us the day of as well as kept the cakes in the refrigerator (bonus: no charge for slicing and plating the cake!). Everything was an absolute breeze with this place. I'm sure there are many more nice things I could say about Brio, but if it isn't clear already, my husband and I highly recommend them for special events and we would absolutely do our wedding reception here again! I've heard about the Happy Hour here for years, finally made it here and swear we'd gotten everything off that menu! The prices are unbeatable, you can only hang out at the bar area though.

No need to search for a parking spot and no need for a valet.
Immediately upon walking it you feel as though you have walked into Tuscany. The atmosphere was perfect and beautiful. I was seated immediately and got service right away. The employees were all so friendly and helpful. Right away I was impressed by the wine selection that took up most of the back if the menu. As it should at an Italian restaurant. My waitress really knew the menu and was able to answer any questions I had with ease.
I order a glass of wine and the beef medallions. The medallions were cooked to perfection. They were almost impossible to cut only because they were so tender they just falling apart. Incredible. The vegetables were grilled to perfection. The mashed potatoes seemed like they may have sat under the heat lamps for a couple minutes but they were still delicious! For dessert we got the strawberry shortcake, (chef special).
It was the perfect size to split and get just a little bit if sweet. The chucks of strawberry were delicious! Honestly, as someone who comes from an Italian background it was nice to see an Italian restaurant get it right. I will most definitely be back again! I am not a fan of chain restaurants, whether low- or high-end and my visit to Brio confirmed my prejudice. I would probably not have tried it at all, but they were celebrating National Lasagna Day with a lasagna special and I cannot resist lasagna.
I thought a lunch visit would be an inexpensive way to discover if they were any good. The main dining room is quite large and relatively attractive although a strange combination of Roman formality with Tuscan farmhouse accents. There is a large and impressive bar with quite a bit of its own seating, reasonably separated from the dining room. There also seemed to be a large private dining area in the back.
There is a huge open kitchen that runs the length of the restaurant. The kitchen generated a lot of noise during my otherwise quiet lunch. The meal started out on a down note as the waitress failed to tell me about the lasagna special. Fortunately I had read about it in advance and remembered to ask about it. This may explain why the restaurant's previous effort at a special for National Ravioli Day fared so poorly (as the waitress mentioned to me).
A runner quickly brought out a very nice bread basket which contained a couple of large croccantini and a half-loaf of a toothsome, crusty bread. No olive oil, alas, and a very tiny slab of butter which I soon used up. I started with the lobster bisque. This was very salty and a skin had formed on it in just the short trip from the kitchen to my table. There are various reasons why soup congeals like this, but none of them involve proper preparation and storage.
The lobster component of the soup was mostly small shreds. The few more recognizable bits were tender, but few in number and nothing larger than a small pea. The lasagna was a disaster. The lasagna itself was quite tasty and the Bolognese was subtle and flavorful. So, what went wrong? The lasagna was served in a large, oval baking dish. Half of the lasagna was drenched in what I thought was Béchamel sauce (although the menu bills it as Alfredo) and all of it was swimming in a giant lake of the same.
Yes, you prepare classic lasagna with a white sauce, but it should be used sparingly between the layers of pasta, not as the overall sauce for the dish. I've enjoyed hundreds of lasagna preparations and I have never encountered it served like this. The ridiculous amount of white sauce drowned out all of the other flavors and completely ruined the dish. What a disappointment. The kitchen could have presented a delicious item if it had just used some restraint.
This is a classic example of the problem with chain restaurants--trying to show off and overdoing a simple dish. Brio did make an excellent Arnold Palmer, but I will not be back. I was pleasantly surprised by Brio. Excellent food and service. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. We had lobster bisque, veal scallopini and branzino. We will be returning customers. Literally waited 30 mins for a glass of wine, then I walked up to the bar and asked if they remember and the older female bar tender was extremely rude and non apologetic and rudely asked for my ID.
After I presented it, she rudely asked "what was it I ordered " I responded a glass of Pinot Noir. The waiter than delivered it, however I ordered a 9-ounce and he gave me 6 ounces. I then politely tried to correct him, and he mockingly offered an extra 3 oz that he could bring over. If I were in charge of this place I would let both of those people go. Especially the bartender. And I would require that she put on some makeup and look at it at least presentable behind the bar.
The only reason I'm giving this place to stars is because the food is good. The goods .. very spacious restaurant. No chance u will be right on top of another table unless for some reason they are packed full busy. Offer very spacious booths which is nice. Pretty nice decor. The staff was average except the host staff that were very welcoming/accommodating. Lots of smiles and warm hellos from host staff.
Another plus is brunch is served until 3 pm on Sunday's. This particular visit was on a Sunday for Brunch. The price point was typical .. had brunch for two for pennies under 40 bucks. The not as good.... the food was good but average. I'm particular about the temperature and it was not hot. The portion size however was good. I was not hungry when I left and it was a lunch big enough for 2. But at the end of the day not impressed.
Maybe my expectations were higher considering the location is in cherry creek north. Service wasn't particularly great either given it wasn't to busy at this particular time. Our waitress was kinda MIA. All in all , I'd rate this a 2.5 This is a good place and the servers are very attentive. Food is what you'd expect from a chain. Not mind blowing but good. It is a very loud restaurant with both music and all the people and kitchen noise.
After years of driving past Brio and thinking to myself "I should really try this place", I finally did it! The food was amazing! My boyfriend loved his Shrimp & Lobster Fettuccine and I was an instant fan of the Salmon Fresca--grilled & seasoned to perfection, a good sized portion and only 500 calories--so yea, safe to say it's a new favorite dish of mine. Our server (so bummed I forget his name) made the experience lovely.
He was attentive, knew the menu extremely well and made amazing recommendations. The ambience at Brio is cozy and romantic; I went late on a Friday night and it was pretty quiet in there which I loved. I honestly cannot wait to come back and try some other items on the menu that I was eyeing ! We had dinner last night at Brio Cherry Creek. We have been there many times and have always enjoyed our visits.
Last night a very unfortunate incident occurred involving a customer who had a major medical issue. The staff was as fast and as efficient as possible in a bad situation like this. They called 911 immediately, tended to the guest as best they could, cleared the area of tables and chairs so the EMT's and others could help. We were enjoying an excellent dinner which was sadly interrupted. I would have posted a 5-star review for our dinner and I am now posting a 5-star review for the staff, their attentiveness and care, the speed they were able to attend to the guest, AND for the dinner.
Really nice place, food is great. No complaints. And the wine selection is really superb. I'm a huge fan of Italian cuisine, so I'm a bit disappointed with the unfortunate experience I had here with the food, although on the brighter side, the restaurant does have friendly staff. On my first visit here, I ordered the Brio Sliced Steak Salad. A generous portion and fresh greens, what could be better? I initially loved the taste of the steak, but after two bites in and 10 minutes later I was feeling very sick to my stomach.
I tried to take another bite, but at that point was very nauseated and couldn't finish any more. It wasn't for another couple of hours that I realized I was having food poisoning. I ended up just finishing the crispy flatbread we received as an appetizer instead for the rest of my meal. I'm thankful for the waitress that continued to refill my glass of water that helped with my nausea and was very kind the entire time I was there, but I'm not sure if I'll come back.
The service here was great, everyone was super friendly from the moment we walked in. Getting a table was no problem, we were seated right away. The place is very open, with tapestries hanging all over the ceiling. Gives a unique feel to the place from other restaurants. Now as for the food, I just wasn't impressed with it. I ordered the Ravioli Di Bello: portobello ravioli, crimini mushrooms, grape tomatoes, parmesan, thyme, champagne brown butter sauce $15.
75. It tasted somewhat bland, I don't know why? There are many positive reviews, maybe some of the other dishes are better. My friend had a "custom" request, angel hair pasta, shrimp, garlic, and I'm not exactly sure what else. Her dish was a bit better then mine, but still, pretty average. The free bread was interesting, I'd have to say that was the best part of the entire meal. I liked the crispy flatbread.
Parking is no problem, lots of free spaces outside. This place is just awful. We ordered 3 salads and it took about an hour. Server was inexperienced. My daughter had a chicken ceased and I believe the chicken was cooked days ago. We complained to our server and he didn't seem to care and the manager never stopped by. Will not be back. Portions got tiny. Food was average. Waiter wrestled the plate away from me even though I was not finished.
Horrible service. Mediocre food. We were seated when the restaurant was pretty dead and the entire staff, including our water, passed us for fifteen minutes without offering us even water. Another 20 minutes goes by, and our subpar food comes out luke warm. Horrible service, mediocre food. Not worth it at all Steak salad was pretty bland. It needed more horseradish, nuts and cheese. Table cloth was stained.
Waiter was friendly an efficient. I prefer the Brio in Naples. It was practically empty when we arrived at 6:00. We thought maybe it was early. However, in the next 1-1/2 hours we were there, it remained pretty much dead. That should have been a clue to go elsewhere. But we had already ordered our meal and hoped for the best. We didn't realize Brio is a chain restaurant: a fancier Olive Garden at best.
The portions are enormous. Which makes it worse when the food has no flavor! It was a waste our time, money, and a lot of food! There are so many great restaurants in Cherry Creeks area. There is no reason to go to this one!
