409 24050 Camino Del AvionDana Point, CA 92629 (949) 443-1476 I had a great time celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and our waiter Claudio was amazing with awesome service and the food was even better I ordered takeout for my group and picked it up, was pretty painless to order but the pizza oven was broken so we couldn't order pizza! Quite disappointing. The Cioppino, spaghetti, and calamari were all very tasty but I'd imagine eating in would taste much, much better.
All in all, I can't complain about anything as it was delicious, on time, the order was correct even though we customized a bit! The pappardelle ragu with the veal shank was tender and seasoned well. My husband had the filet mignon with the sautéed spinach and that was delicious too. We got the complimentary chocolate lava cake for my birthday too. And to top off the experience, the waiter was just awesome and quick-witted keeping us laughing and entertained throughout our dinner.
Overall it was a great first time dinner there! Cloudio our man really helped us to get the best Italian ever. We had Appetizer Shrimp Scampi , Salad and pizza. He was very informative and kind!!!! We loved all the meals. We definitely come back soon. The food was very good. I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly. They had a band playing that night so we ate on the patio. Our waiter was quick and courteous.
I would definitely go again. We came in with a party of 6 we were seated right away, Pepe our server was amazing very attentive, and I had the special, the lobster best I have ever had. The under the brick chicken melts in your mouth. A true gem to the Dana Point, thank you for a fabulous dinner!!!!!!! To summarize - manager is rude, arrogant, disrespectful, and unprofessional. Placed a pick-up order directly at the Brio website (emphasizing that the order was placed at the restaurant's own website) and immediately received a confirmation email.
Arrived at the restaurant after allowing for 30+ minutes for the order to be ready, but was told that the order did not even start being prepared and that it'll take 20+ minutes to cook. When I stated that I was not happy about the situation, the manager became rude, condescending, and hostile. He insisted that it was not his problem and blamed their own 3rd party website vendor. Said that he conveniently had "just now" received the order (this later proved to be a blatant lie as the order was forwarded to the restaurant a half hour earlier).
When I requested to cancel the order and to refund my credit card, the "manager" refused - and told me to figure it out on my own with THEIR website operator. He then reasserted that it's basically not his job to deal with this situation and told me to get out of his restaurant. The "manager" was never polite nor emphatic but instead gave me attitude while escalating the situation. I requested the contact information of the owner of the restaurant (the request was ignored) and the "manager" did not even provide his own name.
Mistakes are understandable and forgivable, however the way that this "manager" handled this situation is completely inexcusable. Rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, and incompetent. Their singer and guitar/keyboardist play a variety of music. Female vocalist has a rich voice and wide range everything from 70s to Latin to Top 40 to rock n roll and more. If you like to dance swing, freestyle, hustle, or anything else, along with quality wine, food, and dessert, this is your place.
It is not a college crowd, but a fun collection of 30somethings up to retirees. Our server Claudio is friendly and welcoming. Genuinely a fun place that's enjoyable to hang out and continue to sip wine even after meal is done. Their cannoli dessert is freshly stuffed and I highly recommend. This is one of our favorite places to relax and dance. Even when it gets crowded there's still enough room to move and dance.
They have a bar and a heated outdoor patio that's useful for large parties. I had the Lobster over Parmesan risotto. Fantastic, fresh seafood and authentic Italian taste. Highly recommend it! Also, the live music was perfect for climate and atmosphere of the restaurant. Good music, GREAT service, and even better food. If you want a good time and good food, go check this authentic Italian joint out or you will be missing something truly special! 10000/10 experience! Service was honestly the best I have ever had.
Claudio!!!! Food was just as amazing! I had the fettuccine scampi and my boyfriend got the bistecca pesto. The steak was UNREAL! My scampi was delicious as well. And for dessert, the Affogato looked super cool and tasted great. You have to try this place!!!!! Claudio was an absolute treat to have as our waiter. 25years in the business and it shows w his attitude. Will definitely return for the service& delicious food! The most romantic and delicious place to go to with your loved one! Eggplant Parmesan and Alfredo pasta chicken with mushrooms and broccoli and absolutely delicious The price is a bit pricey in terms of $18-35 bucks around those lines.
You have to ask for bread since they didn't give us any. I wished they could have just given it to us though. Calamari was super good too with the interesting spicy tomatoes sauce. Customer service was decent for the most part. What a romantic place to take that special someone. The band , very special and classy Justin and Lindsey have a talent with a wide variety of music. The food, super good I had the lasagna and my wife had the shrimp and vegge's both were tasty and the service from Claudio our waiter was perfect.
Our favorite restaurant. Today was my first time eating at Brio's. I had such an amazing waiter his name was Claudio. The second he greeted us he made us laugh and brought a great and fun vibe. I will come back for the great food and great service I received from Claudio! I even gave him a nickname "Messi Brio" :D . Thank you! -Avo Delightful and delicious...beautiful manicotti, Chianti Reserve and the very special hospitality of Claudio.
We're from San Francisco and these weary travelers needed a restorative perfect meal. We got it here. Thank you everyone at Brio! Just had our work girls night at Brio. Our server was Claudio! He was awesome! The happy hour list was great! He was the best. Very funny and made sure we got what we needed! Great experience. The meatballs were like my grandma made them. We got the lava cake and limoncello cheesecake.
Both were delicious! Thanks Claudio! Went here for dinner on Easter Sunday. We didn't have reservations, and the other place we had in mind was closed. Glad they were, cause otherwise we wouldn't have gotten for try this one! Was not able to order the bolognese or the meatballs, as they were made from beef and pork, so I had to choose something else. It worked out for the better! While I heard it was delicious from the others at the table, I ordered the Carole's Pasta Special which was fettuccini with grilled chicken, shallots, ceremonial mushrooms, brocolli florets, parmigiano reggiano, and marscapone cheese in a light alfredo sauce.
It was delicious! Probably the best alfredo sauce I've ever had, not too heavy so I was actually able to finish my plate. Brocolli was cooked to perfection as well, tender, not too soft, and stole had a little crunch to it. Yum! Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal, and the four of us split an affoggato for dessert. Perfect way to end the night! A bit pricey, but we don't usually mind splurging when it comes to Italian.
Parking available in lot in front of restaurant. Me and my girlfriend have come to Brio two years in a row for Valentine's Day and both times we've had a blast! The Valentine's menu is very reasonable at $28-$40 a plate or you can get the 3-Course Amore Special for $59 per person. Sit in Claudio's section he is hilarious and very nice. Thanks Brio!! Thank you Brio for excellent food and service at our fundraiser.
Everyone had such a great time! We received so many positive comments about the food and the venue. The staff were attentive and very helpful. EVeryone was so nice. Special thanks to owner Enzo for supporting our charity, DREAM Animal Rescue (http://www.dreamanimalrescue.org/). Came in last Friday with my family to celebrate my grams birthday and cousins college graduation. Right off the bat going out is stressful as is for my family.
My sister is autistic and makes things particularly interesting, especially when she knows she should behave. But this occasion was particularly pleasant, the live music was great and our waitor Dwight was more than amazing. His patience was much noticed by more than myself after dinner on the ride back home. He was as much a contributor if not the main contributor to our experience. Should also mention the food was great & drinks were generous and refreshing.
Will definitely come back again on my own for drinks and live music.See Also: Motorcycle Hall Of Fame
